The Ohio Children's Alliance is pleased to announce that State Representative Susan Manchester (R-Waynesfield) has been chosen as our 2020 Champion for Children.
The “Champion for Children” award recognizes an elected official or community leader who advocated for public policies during the past year that aim to sustainably improve the provision of services to children, and families. This award speaks to the very heart of our mission and demonstrates a selfless commitment to true public service.
We would like to honor Representative Manchester as our Champion for her tireless efforts on behalf of Ohio’s vulnerable children, and particularly her work in support of our foster youth and families. This includes her work as a sponsor of House Bill 8, foster parent training legislation, which recently passed the legislature. We are incredibly grateful for her meaningful work.
As Ohio’s oldest and largest statewide association of community-based organizations serving children, we extend our thanks to the Representative for her service over and above the expectations of her profession. We congratulate Representative Manchester and look forward to continuing to work with her on behalf of Ohio’s children and families.
